animosity towards the world sours the beauty that hides within

animosity towards the world
sours the beauty that hides within.

a person’s never-ending sarcasm
casts unforgiving shadows
onto an otherwise kindhearted face.

we must put away our venemous tongue;
its lashing blinds us from seeing the infinite truth.

our culture of criticism has become obscene,
it spoils and ruins our individuality as if it were a game;
we must do away with our spite,
we must banish our contempt and disdain.

we must be mindful of our words,
for they shape the quality of our internal world.

if we want to nurture our own wellbeing,
we need to help build each other up,
rather than tear each other down.

speak gently,
be kind with your words.
